Program Name - Social Slate- A Social and Emotional Learning Program!
 
Program Details -  Social and emotional learning is the process through which children learn social competence and emotional maturity. Skills like handling disappointment, self control, understanding emotions are just few of the skills that fall under SEL. These skills are equally important to learn just like learning math, science and reading is. Children who learn these skills early on tend to do well in academics and later in their personal and professionl lives.
 
Through this program, children will learn 9 skills in a clear and explicit manner.

Handling Disappointment
Self Control
Kindness
Grace and Courtesy
Good Habits
Appropriate Choices
Honesty
Accepting Differences
 
There will be discussions, book reading and hands on activities to help children understand each skill.
